Motorcycle racing isn't typically the words that roll of someone's lips when they say what they do for fun. However, this is the phrase that I have been using since 2004. When I was seventeen I pursued my interest in motorcycles by adopting my mom's old sport bike, and obtaining my motorcycle license. The next year my father, mother, and I started riding our street bikes on the track to learn how to be better, safer riders on the dangerous streets of Jersey. Never did I imagine I would be provided with the opportunity to become a motorcycle racer two years later!
Since first entering the race track I have fallen in love with the risk, people, and challenges that are involved in this sport. I would highly encourage anyone who is looking for a hobby that will challenge them mentally, physically, and emotionally to look into pursuing this sport. The array of experiences you receive from racing are extensive!
For 2009 I greatly anticipate the challenges that will undoubtedly present themselves on the track. My personal objectives this session are to participate in the USGPRU national race series for 2-stroke 125cc motorcycles, and attend numerous track days with clubs like Team Promotion. This year I am also going to try something new by putting my street Yamaha R6 back on the racetrack (time to un-retire the four stroke!).
If you are someone who races themselves, is interested in pursuing this goal, wants to get their street license, or simply enjoys the art that is motorcycles, please email me. I would love to hear from you!
